Argo Credit Management S.p.A.

The company was founded in 1997 by Gordana Kaitovic Lupi – at the dawn of the NPL business – as Argo Ge.Re.Cre. srl with the aim of dealing with al kind of non-performing loans and thus becoming a valid support not only for banks and financial institutions, but also for commercial enterprises. Afterwards, Argo expands into the financial world by purchasing a company ex 106 T.U.B. (financial company under Article 106 of the Italian Banking Act) then sold to a US based investment fund.

Today, Argo Credit Management SpA, carries out special-servicing activities at 360 degrees: it deals with the recovery of debts both a. Judicially – thanks to the internal legal team and the tested network of affiliated attorneys present in all the Italian Courts – and b. Out of Court, boasting of the efficiency of its information search activity and of the action to reduce management costs in order to make the loans perform again.

In addition, thanks to the know-how acquired in over 22 years of activity, Argo also offers evaluation and advisory services, purchase and management of NPL portfolios with a pioneering opening to the market of Unlikely To Pay loans (UTP), already largely faced up in the last managed portfolios. Over the years it has also developed – thanks to the skills of the management (Gordana K. Lupi and Matteo A. Palmieri) – a specific advisory service that has successfully driven multiple Banks in the process of management, optimization and sale of their non-performing loans.

These features, together with the reliability and know-how, allowed Argo to manage portfolios for a total value of over 1 billion euros.
